What Your Favorite Pet Says About Your Love Life
Have you ever heard the saying that animals are such agreeable friends? The full quote by George Eliot says, “Animals are such agreeable friends — they ask no questions; they pass no criticisms.”
He means that our pets see our whole lives. They know who we are from a different perspective and don’t judge us for our mistakes. But what if I told you they knew something more? Something about your love life.
Dogs
If you have a pet dog, then you’re definitely the fun partner in a relationship. You know the difference between work and play, and you always make an effort to find balance. When you’re at work, you prefer to think of nothing else.
However, when it’s time to play, your mind is full of hundreds of ideas to have fun.
You also tend to give everything your 101% effort, which can leave an exhausting burnout. Just try to control your passion, and you’ll do fine in your love life.
I recommend finding a date that can match your energy or who’s a complete opposite to hold the reins.
Cats
You’re most likely an indoors person — a chill partner. Having cats for pets says a lot about how you want a calm and peaceful environment. You also want a partner who understands that you don’t want anything extra or bothersome in your love life.
Yet, you don’t mind making time for fun when it suits you. You want it to be you and your partner because you don’t have the energy to interact with anyone else. It might get in the way of socializing, but you prefer that anyway.
Turtles
If you have turtles for pets, then you’re a devoted partner. You make an effort to be there for your significant other, and you don’t mind spending days away from them. You are the best person for long-distance relationships because of your patience.
However, there will be times when you burn out. You have to remind yourself that you don’t have to force yourself. You are allowed to take a break and have some time off for your needs.
I recommend getting a partner who’s loyal and knows the difference between effort and overworking. Once you do, you’ll have someone who can tell you to stop and rest.
Hamsters or Rabbits
Having hamsters or rabbits as pets only means one thing — you’re the wild partner. No, I don’t mean anything negative when I say you’re the wild one in the relationship. You just use most of your energy to have fun and constantly move.
You don’t want a potential partner who can’t match your energy, so you tend to keep moving on to the next person. You want someone who can keep up and live in the present instead of worrying about the future.
However, you’re also quick to burn out, which can last a few days. I recommend finding the balance in a partner. Someone who can match your energy, but is strong-willed enough to stop you from over-exhaustion.
What Pet Do You Have?
If you have another pet in mind, don’t hesitate to tell me about them in the comments. I enjoy making these types of blogs because it helps you figure out what type of partner you want in life.
You should never lower your standards or change your preferences for anyone. Stay true to what you want, and you will get it eventually.
